Posted on | March 24, 2009 |
this week’s freecycled goodie is a pretty tweed plenty by tracy reese dress (size 6).
it’s got a few smudges around the collar, but nothing that can’t be washed off.
if you think you can give it a good home, comment on this post with your favorite eco-tip or product.
the comment with the most votes by friday the 27th (your friends can vote by commenting with your name) will score this purty dress for free!!!
good luck!

Thanks Mary!
I wanted to, but I am technically not a business. Luckily, EcoPlum entered so I will be rooting for them!

reuse plastic take-out containers for storing food at home, holding arts and crafts supplies, etc.

I looooove the new Nature’s Resource products by the Scrubbing Bubbles company–especially the bathtub cleaner. It gets my tub blindingly white and I feel much better about washing it down the drain when I’m done
Not to mention it has a lovely citrus scent, rather than a bleachy one.
Also a cute idea–when I buy salads from those “make your own salad” places, I re-use the salad bowls for centerpieces on my coffee table or kitchen table at home. You can put little flowers and shredded pieces of paper, fruit, whatever…and when it gets old (or you get tired of it), buy another salad and start over!

Bring your own mug/tumbler with you to coffee shops–you’ll save alot of waste & cash (refills usually cost less). Sweet!

Reuse the plastic bags that bread comes in to pack a sandwich or a snack rather than buying Ziploc.

Forget paper towels–cut up all those t-shirts that have worn out. They make great rags. Old sheets and towels work too.

I rinse out my used prescription bottles (and soak off the labels) and fill them with shampoo, conditioner, etc for travel! They are perfect size for carry-on and seal in liquid items perfectly.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your awesome tips. Looks like Jennifer M is in the lead right now, but there is still time for anyone to take the cake (win the dress).

Voting for Jennifer M–seriously, she wants that dress. Also she really does clean with torn-up t-shirts.
